In essence, our workflow is structured to keep our customers informed and enable them to effectively manage their projects throughout the entire process. This is facilitated through emails, weekly progress reports, photos, videos, and phone calls

Quotation Stage:

  • You can expect to receive a quotation within 24 hours.
  • Payment terms and details will be confirmed.
  • We will provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and mold flow analysis before the official order is placed

Project Release Stage: 

Step 1 : Mold Design Review Meeting: 

  • Full 2D and 3D tool design
  • Provision of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and mold flow analysis before the official order.
  • Effective communication with end customers to double-check mold specifications and market requirements.
  • Assistance in material selection.
  • Product optimization.
  • Adaptability to various file formats including PRT, SLDPrt, STEP, STP, IGES, Parasolid_xt, STL, DWG, DXF, and PDF
 
Step 2: Machining Review Meeting: 
  • Design Validation and Process Control:

    • Confirming that the mold design is reasonable and efficient.
    • Determining the most cost-effective machining technical process.
    • Ensuring all processing is under lead time control.

Weekly progress report

Mold Manufacturing Stage: 

  • During mold manufacturing, all processing is carried out strictly according to the time schedule reports.
  • We submit ‘Weekly Progress Reports’ with pictures every Monday or twice a week as needed.
  • Each component is measured to ensure precision.
  • All electronics are thoroughly measured.
  • Weekly photos and videos are provided to guarantee that all processing is controlled by you, even without on-site presence

Mold trial Stage: 

Pre-Testing Checklist:

    • We will complete a checklist before mold testing to ensure everything is fully prepared.
    • Detailed pictures and videos will help you control everything, even when not on site.
    • The T1 reports will list all questions and proposed solutions.
    • We will provide all measurements for the samples.
    • We can assist our customers in obtaining the checking fixtures.”

Mold Interior Inspection Phase:

It is imperative that we conduct a thorough examination of the mold and its packaging prior to shipment.

Mold Inspection Checklist:

A detailed checklist will be utilized to meticulously inspect each component of the mold to ensure that everything is fully prepared. Even a minor issue at GR Precision Mold can escalate into a significant problem once the molds are transferred to our client’s facility.

  • Mold Dimension Reports
  • Steel Certification
  • Mold Tryout Parameters Form

  • Copies of 2D and 3D Data

It is essential that all these documents are accurate and complete to guarantee the quality and readiness of the mold before it leaves our premises.

Mold Shipping Phase:

  • The molds will undergo a comprehensive 4-hour test.
  • A checklist will be utilized prior to mold testing to ensure that everything is completely prepared before the testing begins.
  • Detailed photos and videos will be provided to allow you to oversee everything even if you are not on-site.
  • The T1 reports will document all identified issues and the proposed solutions.
  • All measurements for the samples will be provided.
  • The molds will be vacuum-packed and placed in a reinforced wooden crate to ensure their safety during shipping.

In this phase, we leave no stone unturned to ensure that the mold is in perfect condition and safely packed for shipping. This includes conducting thorough testing, providing comprehensive documentation, and using secure packaging.
